Local employer, Ageas, has picked up three significant industry awards in the space of two weeks adding to what has already been an award-winning year for the company and its employees.
At last night’s annual Insurance Times Awards Ageas picked up the much sought after ‘Personal Lines Insurer of the Year’ for the fourth consecutive year. Andy Watson, CEO Ageas UK said: “What makes this award special is that it is voted for by the brokers that we trade with and I remain grateful for their ongoing support for our customers”.
As a further endorsement of Ageas’s performance as a leading insurance provider, the company also picked up the coveted ‘Gold Standard for Insurance’ for the seventh consecutive year and ‘Gold Standard for Protection’ for the second consecutive year. Ageas, headquartered at Hampshire Corporate Park, was the first company to achieve the Insurance standard in 2008 and has once again been recognised for its strong customer focus.
Now in their 12th year, the Gold Standard Awards are designed to identify UK financial services companies that have strong structures and procedures in place and are going above and beyond standard business practices to promote trust in the sector.
Deborah Benn, Chair of the Gold Standards Judging Panel said “Ageas has clearly grasped the importance of how a sustainable business model can add value to its clients.” She continued: “Ageas plays a major role in influencing insurance issues and uses internal and external input to great effect.”
Watson added: “Seven consecutive years of winning the Gold Standard award is a truly remarkable feat and shows how we maintain the principles that attract customers, including high performance and fair value.”
Continuing its successful sweep of awards this year, Ageas also won the International Travel & Health Insurance Journal (ITIJ) Award for Assistance Company of the Year. It’s focus on simplifying and improving the service provided to Ageas customers has been further recognised where Ageas Assistance International was commended by the travel insurance industry for having gone above and beyond with products and services they have delivered to customers over the last year. Judges commented that the Assistance International team “continues to set the benchmark for assistance”.
