Ageas UK has been awarded the Incisive Media ‘Gold Standard for Insurance’ for the sixth consecutive year. Ageas was the first ever insurance company to achieve this standard in 2008 and has once again been recognised for its strong business structure and putting the customer at the centre of its business.

We’ve been officially recognised for offering our customers excellent service and fair value, just two of the many performance criteria set by the assessors. Ageas Protect, our insurance protection business, entered for the first time this year and was also awarded a Gold Standard which is an outstanding achievement for the team.” 

Now in their tenth year, the Gold Standard Awards take into account financial strength and assess areas such as trust, fair value, service, as well as capability to conduct business. They are designed to identify companies that not only have strong structures and procedures in place, but are going above and beyond standard business practices to offer customers the best possible experience when using financial services or buying financial products.

The judging panel recognised that Ageas displays a clear understanding of customer needs, when it comes to insurance, and were particularly impressed with how all aspects of the business are structured to deliver service excellence, taking customer trust seriously. 

Commenting on the award, Deborah Benn, Chair of the Gold Standards Judging Panel said: “Ageas displays an exemplary level of communication with brokers and clients that has helped to shape an excellent service proposition in both insurance and protection. It is probably one of the most innovative insurers in terms of attempting to move the market through new product choices, while continuing to offer the more mainstream policies."
